Malik’s – Best in UK Award

Malik’s Express Kitchen Cookham won the award for the Best Takeaway in the UK 2021 at the 17th British Curry Awards, a prestigious star-studded event held in London. Thank you to all our wonderful customers who nominated us and made this possible.

On Monday 29th November Malik’s team were out in style at the black-tie event celebrating the best of the country’s culinary establishments. The annual ceremony dubbed as the “Curry Oscar’s” by Prime Minister David Cameron is an event the industry eagerly awaits as the top 100 restaurants are named and winners announced. Malik’s Restaurant Cookham was nominated in the Best Restaurant in the South East Category and Malik’s Express Kitchen Cookham was nominated in the Best Takeaway in the UK category. Malik’s restaurant didn’t quite manage the win this year but when the announcement was made that Malik’s Express Kitchen won, the team made sure the whole event knew we were there with huge celebrations and joy from all our family and friends at the event. Malik’s bought home the big national award for Best Takeaway in the UK 2021 after warding off fierce competition. We are extremely proud.
